Hike
#3 Trek through the renowned Glacier Peak Wilderness
August 19:
Arrive via the Lady II to Lucerne and then by bus to Holden Village (elevation
3200’). You will have the afternoon to explore the historic mining
town or a hike to Holden Lake.
August 20:
Today’s 9 miles will take us past the glacier green Hart and Lyman
Lakes and on up to absolutely gorgeous Cloudy Pass, elevation 6400’
August 21:
A layover day here offers many choices; Cloudy Peak and the surrounding
ridges, explore Lyman and Upper Lyman Lakes or hike the 12 miles round-trip
to famous Image Lake.
August 22:
We will hike 11 miles down the Pacific Crest Trail along roaring Agnes
Creek to our camp at Swamp Creek (2800’) among the huge spruce
and cedars trees.
August 23:
An eight mile hike out to High Bridge and a drive down the road to catch
the Lady II at 2:00 with a stop at Rainbow Falls and. the bakery
