Stehekin Pastry Company Job Openings

Stehekin Pastry Company is a small bakery located 2 miles up the road from the boat landing. We offer a variety of “from scratch” baked goods as well as espresso, ice cream and a limited breakfast and lunch menu. We take pride in the quality of our products and strive to create a friendly and comfortable atmosphere.
We are able to provide some housing and your housing needs will be taken into consideration with any job offer. Wages will be determined by your experience and abilities. We are willing to do quite a bit of training if there is a sincere desire to learn.

Position: Baker
Shift Hours: 5- 12 a.m. or 1:00 p.m.
Skills: Scaling, mixing, and baking a variety of yeast dough’s, cookies, muffins and scones. The kitchen is open to the public so bakers are often called upon to help the customers as well as handle baking responsibilities at a fast pace. This position also entails clean-up of the kitchen.

Position: Counter Person
Shift Hours: 6-1:00, 8-5:30 and 12-6:00
Skills: The duties range from waiting on customers for pastries, scooping ice cream, making espresso drinks, stocking, constant clean-up of kitchen and dining room and doing dishes. Ability to smile under pressure, move fast, stay organized and use a cash register. A friendly countenance is a must for this job.
